RE: United/Cont. Existing Fleet Upgrade Status 11

I appreciate all the work people have put in to keeping track of all these changes.

Can someone go through and list what the ultimate fleet will look like?
Can you list each type in the fleet, the IFE, the seating arrangements, and anything else that will set each subfleet apart?
What services will each offer and what markets are they geared for? For example, all the various B752 and B772 types that will be found.

Next, what does "IPTE" specifically stand for? I have seen this listed on the forum to mean "Includes Weber 5751 cloth seats with power ports in 3-3-3 configuration and new larger PTVs with AVOD and winged headrests." But I am wondering what the letters IPTE stand for.

Last, I have seen it mentioned that a STC is required for E+, why is a STC needed for a seating configuration?

Thanks,
Ryan

GECAS has announced that it will lease out 12 Boeing 737-500s to Sriwijaya Air, of which all are coming off-lease from United Airlines. Does anyone know which 12 are lsf GECAS? The first aircraft has already left the UA fleet...

N27610 0610 Boeing 737-524(WL)

Which leaves 11 aircraft to go... Planespotters.net lists the following (9) aircraft as lsf GECAS, is this correct?

N17614, N16617, N17619, N19621, N13624, N32626, N17627, N14629 & N59630

E+ 73G
3717 exited MCO ferry 6855/16 May
3733 to Exit MCO Flight 1526/19 May

Looks like 3704 is in for E+, but can't confirm MCO exit

Any update on 739ER 37437, in HOU for DFW hail damage repair - last update was to be several days ago?

Anyone know if 739ER new delivery 68452 is getting DTV in MCO? It doesn't look link any 738 or any other 739 units are in MCO for DTV at this point.

738 3529 is still showing no DTV, no IFE and no E+. However, it was ferried MCO-IAH 5/14. It may have been in line behind 3531, which didn't get the E+ treatment as advertised.

Wondering if 735 3619 is in HOU for exit package instead of C check/E+. It's one of the 735's shown on Reply 4 as a return to leaser.

I appreciate all of your efforts keeping us informed!

So I am kind of lost on what aircraft : Does 0529, 0529, 0530 and 0531 have DTV? I know they are the BSI aircraft

Regarding 3437 I remember reading from the last thread there is no date of exit yet.

Does this mean the 735's are leaving soon? I believe a few of the 735 that could leave have E+

738/739: In general, only DTV aircraft have E+, (except several Sky interior aircraft, which have not received the STC for E+)

Specifically, according to my records these aircraft do NOT have DTV
739ER 3443 & 3444 (non-Sky)
739ER Sky 3446-3451 - (3445 is only Sky with DTV. 3452 new delivery may be getting DTV, but that would not be consistent with the rest of the new deliveries.)

738 3260-3277 Mid Cabin lav aircraft
738 3519-3527 Non-Sky
738 Sky: 3529. (3528, 3530 & 3531 have DTV installed)

735 ALL
753 ALL

Thanks! I appreciate it! I have been trying to keep careful track as well. I missed the last few 738 to get direct tv. I have been keeping track of all the information provided here in more of a database form which allows for easy scanning. It is similar to the website about sCO aircraft a while back, but the database covers both mainline and regional aircraft. https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

I though 3443 and 3444 were the first delivers with the sky interior?

437 ETR is listed as TBD .. pending parts and such I presume..
621 and 624 are the only E+ 735s I know of so far.. so I presume they will be the last to go..
860 is listed as 'E + Pilot' in LAX

I realize this is just me being somewhat picky, but shouldn't the 764 fleet show 9/16 completed as to E+ conversion, rather than 9/12?

Thanks... I enjoy keeping up with this information.

Yes, looking at Seat guru and the new seat map for flight 46/19May, there is a right side row 8 D-E-F.

On seat guru it shows a Galley that takes up what would have been 7 & 8 D-E-F. The Galley must have a reduction in depth by about 20 inches, to retain 3 seats then the 5 rows of E+ on that side can each have 4 inches extra legroom. So, the aircraft just loses 3 seats in total. Row 14 is gone, but row 8 gets DEF seats.

Of notice is that the UA.com seat maps show one lav on the left side behind row 32 A-B-C while SeatGuru shows 2 lavs. Not sure which is correct.

So can anyone outline why an STC is needed to add E+?

Thanks,

N68452 , latest 739ER is now in service. United.com shows it does not have IFO or E+.
It looks a bit puzzling as United.com shows it flew its first flight from EWR May 19, but arrived in EWR on Flight 6850 as a ferry from BOS. The aircraft was in MCO, I presume.
Also, under flight amenities (Flight 4/21May MSY-IAH), the aircraft information is that of a 50 seat CRJ.

I came back to HOU today on WN241 from BNA, a 735, and they are still working on the hail damaged 739. The leading edge fairing of the vertical stabilizer as well as well as the tail cone w//apu and horizontal stabilizers looked to be under repair.

This is what I show in my database for active 73K fleet as of today leased from GECAS:

620
623-627
631-633

You've listed 9 737-500s as lsf GECAS, plus the first one that went (610), that's 10... I see that 614 & 617 are leased from Castle Harbour, which I believe is a company of GECAS? Could those be our 12 going to Sriwijaya?

Is Planespotters.net wrong with regard to the owners of 619, 621 & 630?

73G #3719 Ferried MCO-IAH 5/21 in E+

It looks like #3704 ferried MCO- IAH 5/23 with a E+ seat map. And, by deduction of available aircraft, #3750 ferried IAH-MCO 5/23.

753 #3871 was in LAX over two days, but seats map don't show E+. Too bad. It looked like LAX could be E+ing the 753 - we'll have to wait to see. There are a couple 753s with sked RONS at MCO coming up as well as LAX.

Does anyone know how accurate the seat maps on united.com are? Will these show you if you are on a new configuration? I fly IAH-CDG next month and the map shows the regular seats, not flat bed seats. Thanks for any input!

So Boeing 757-300's 3871 and 3866 do have E+ as it appears they slipped under the radar from our tracking.
