Monarchs From Around The World Flying Into UK

Fri May 18, 2012 7:53 am

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18099937

The Queen is hosting a jubilee lunch for monarchs from around the world at Windsor Castle.

Have we seen any royal jets at airports this week? Anyone know where they're flying into?

You will be able to look up many airplanes for the Queen's Jubilee. Not sure where they will all be landing/parking? Farnborough? Biggin Hill? City airport? London Heathrow? Gatwick? I can imagine all the motorcades that will follow!

Among them will be 3A-MGA Prince Albert of Monaco's personal Falcon jet.

Not going to get into any political comments or the thread will be locked by the moderators. Better we keep it to the Royals/officials and their personal flights.

Prince Albert's Dassult is currently parked on the Jet Centre Apron at LCY along side what looks like a learjet with Swiss Air Force titles.

Thank you for the info. That Falcon 900 is a beauty.
I will report your info on our Monaco forums.

The BBC have a link with all those attending today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18108640

Does anybody know how the Liechtenstein Royals travel? Do they have their own jet or just charter when needed?

The man is what he is but he sure has a pretty personal jet. I hope there will be some of you out there taking pictures and doing videos. It is fantastic to see all these royals/high officials airplanes at once. Reminds me of all the G20 airplanes in Nice including Air Force One/Two. I guess it will only be royalty in London. No heads of State/Presidents.

Looking at the link I see that the Pope is invited. He is the King of the Vatican after all. I wonder if he will be attending?

How about the King of Bhutan? Will he be attending? and the new King of Tonga? Will he be there?

Seems they have forgotten the Prince of Andorra... I wonder why?

 airplane   Wow!

Not all of the Monarch's on that list are invited/attending - its just a factfile on the current monarchies around the world.

The link in my OP has a guest list at the bottom, and the Pope isn't on it.

and @11:45 BST, BAH 1 just landed.

Maybe they should have all flown Monarch Airlines to get here, that would have given some nice 'one upmanship' to this great carrier.

Seeing as it's official business, one of the RDAF Challengers should have ferried our Queen and the Prince Consort over to London and may be hiding somewhere (RAF Northolt?). I'd imagine they'll return sometime later today, given that their youngest grandchild is christened on Sunday and they want a few days in Southern Denmark with the family.

This is what happens after all the royals have gotten off their personal jets and before they board them again for their return flights.

Monarchs: The world’s most exclusive club gathers for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee

If you happen to be in the Windsor area on Friday, it’s advisable to wear sunglasses. As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Queen is hosting a lunch for sovereign monarchs, and the assorted tiaras, gems and diamonds the size of gulls’ eggs may cause major sun glare problems near Junction 6 of the M4.

Most of the royals will be gone by tomorrow other than those who might want to stay for shopping or other personal reasons.

There is another dinner tonight but that is a very formal one and only a chosen few among the royals will be invited to that.

This is all of today's listers with their pictures. Monarchs of all ages, styles, religions, traditions and countries. The Queen brought them all together.

http://myroyal-myroyals.blogspot.fr/...en-elizabeths-diamond-jubilee.html

Their visit was the reason for having all these airplanes. I hope we will get to see pictures of their airplanes in the different airports while they were in in the UK for the Queen's Jubilee.

I tried to track the Monaco royal flight on Flightaware to see if they are staying or coming back but it did not show them because of security concerns.

Somebody please post pictures of the royal airplanes. I am sure they must be on some local spotters forums somewhere. Thank you very much in advance.

There was a RDAF Challenger at Northolt (C-168 DAF001), and Northolt also received a Norwegian AF Falcon 20, Belgian AF Embraer 145, Swedish AF Gulfstream 4 and, later in the day, after lunch, a Jordanian Gvmt Gulfstream.

Ah, the Brits still do pageantry and splendor very well indeed, although IMHO a few of the Beefeaters may need to switch over to tofu!

As much as I love the VC10 it would have been nice if the new A330 tanker/transporter could have had a place in the fly past instead [ or maybe as well].

We do have the Birthday Flypast coming up in a couple of weeks time, it may put in an appearance then.

Please tell us more. Where is the flypast going to take place? Is that going to be Windsor Castle again or will it be Buckingham Palace this time?

Have you any idea which planes will be participating the flypast?

The Queen's Birthday Parade will be held on Saturday 16th June 2012 on Horse Guards Parade. It is usually followed by a flypast of Buckingham Palace, I guess we will know closer to the day what aircraft are going to be involved.
