First Pan Am Dc-8 Flight

I've done a fair amount of research and cannot find out any information on Pan Am's first service DC-8 flight. Does anybody know the date or the destination?

Not exactly what you are looking for, but:
N803PA, Douglas DC-8-32, Jet Clipper Mandarin, notes: C/N 45256, delivered to Pan Am on 7 February 1960. The first DC-8-32 delivered to Pan Am. Later sold to Delta Air Lines on 30 December 1968, and reregistered as N8038A. Delta sold this DC-8 to the Charlotte Aircraft Company on 21 January 1974, who in turn leased it to Ranger Air Cargo. Over the ensuing years this airframe was operated by Intercontinental Airways, Ghana Airways and Air Tchad. It was withdrawn from use and placed in storage at Copenhagen, Denmark, and was ultimately scrapped in October 1984.

I remember hearing somewhere that it was London, but I could be mistaken.

I'm not sure the date of PAA's first DC-8 flight but, I believe a lot of their DC-8 service was South America. Their sister airline Panagra was exclusively a DC-8 customer for their jets and they had a lot of flights out of MIA to points in South America. Hope this sheds some light. I'd like to know the definitive answers myself.

Looks like March 27, 1960 from Baltimore to Paris. Still working on confirmation.

According to George Cearly Jr's "Douglas DC-8, A Pictorial History", it looks like Pan Am's first DC-8-32 service was March 10, 1960, New York (Idlewild) to Bermuda. Followed by Idlewild-London Heathrow on April 27, 1960.

PA's Paris service usually continued onto Damascus. Imagine that now-a-days!
