Status Of Caribbean Airlines Integration

Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:12 pm

What is the current status of the Caribbean Airlines/Air Jamaica integration? Last update from Air Jamaica I can see was just over a year ago:

"It is expected before the end of the year, the full integration will complete with an all Boeing fleet servicing both the Caribbean Airlines and Air Jamaica brand."

Is this an Air France/KLM type merger in which the two separate operating certificates are to be maintained by operations integrated? I note all flights are to be operated by a single code but it looks like separate brands are being maintained.

There are two separate Web sites up and they aren't very complementary. The Air Jamaica one has a few broken links, for example, and there is not much in the way of explanation on the integration, what the end goal is or the current status.
