Widebody Pax Service At SJU By U.S. Airlines?

Does anyone know which U.S. airlines still fly widebodies into SJU?

I know DL still flies one of their domestic 763s daily on ATL-SJU. What about AA and US?

doesn't appear to have anything for US. Nor for AA.

AA is all narrowbody. US's current schedule is all narrowbody.

The only other widebodies in the current schedule to the US are Amerijet, UPS and FedEx. You also have the few transatlantic flights as well.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

US does fly a 767 form CLTon seasonal basis
Next flight: TUL-ATL-CLT CRJ900 and MD88

In the mid-1970s there were roughly 8 daily 747s JFK-SJU, about evenly divided between AA and Pan Am, plus several daily Eastern L-1011s.

A few months ago I noticed an AA 777 at JFK (N786AN) bound for SJU, subbing for the regular 757-200.

Last August, I got to fly a US A-330 in F from SJU-PHL that was an unexplained sub for the scheduled 762. It was completely full and they were buying back seats.

I've seen US previously offering widebody service to SJU out of PHL. Don't know if their current narrowbody-only situation is permanent or seasonal, but I would imagine they could use the extra lift on that route.

AWE1034 is 762 every day but Sat and Sun.

In then 90's CO used the A300 on EWR-SJU. At SJU I saw that next to CO was a TW 747 bound for STL. How times have changed.

I flew TWA 747s SJU JFK SJU several times in the 90s

THe lack of adequete passenger widebody service to SJU (and other caribbean destinations now) is major headache for shippers of hi value perishables that require rapid transit to the marketplace in that area.

Our options are limited as

The market for connecting widebody service (with options would be even better) is there from LAX/SFO/SEA as well as other points.

Granted the economy of Puerto Rico is in worse shape than the mainland, we can hope that conditions will improve so that
perhaps AA will somehow schedule at least 1 767/777 from MIA and JFK daily to accommodate more cargo as well as pax traffic.

Even Widebody service on UA from IAD would be helpful.

Cost effective volume shipments require an LD2 or 3 Type container that can be insulated. Example would be 150 ctns of $60.00 per 18# box of Cherries from California or Washington in an LD3. 12 boxes in an E container is not a cost effective shipment. The difference is nearly $14.00 per box.
