WN Departure Count July 2012

Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:05 pm

Thanks to FSDan for the inspiration, and also from requests of others on his threads. I have decided to add WN to the list for Thursday, July 26th. Unfortunately, I didn't exactly divide out the 733/735/73G/738. This is moreover just an updated count of their flight count (On the SWA website, latest data is of Feb). Seeing how there is no difference in seat count between the 733/73G (the majority of the fleet), the retiring of the 735, the slow addition of the 738, the overall average should still come out to be close/near the original seat count of 137.

MDW 241
LAS 229
BWI 198
PHX 179
DEN 164
HOU 144
DAL 129
LAX 113
OAK 108
MCO 102
SAN 95
STL 90

I included SAN/STL because I thought they would be close to the ~100 threshold but didn't exactly know where they would stand out until I completed the counts.

Actually there is a difference. The 73G is being converted to the new Evolve seating. That means by the end of the year all 73Gs will have 143 seats, the 733 will remain at 137 seats.

Thanks for adding the FL flights! It will be intereting to see how this changes over the next year.

Making a cramped cabin even worse, no wonder I drive anything less than 1000 miles.

The seat pitch will remain the same. I find Southwest's seat pitch to be rather comfortable.
