AF To Codeshare With Air Mali & Air Burkina

This is strange to me, unless of course it is just words that don't mean anything. Why would these carriers work together, unless, of course, Air Burkina and Air Mali are failing on their Paris flights. AF certainly doesn't need I5 or 2J.

Air Mali must be suffering with the political situation in Mali. Any information of how they are operating - full schedule?

And any news on Air Cote d'Ivoire, which I read somewhere is supposed to start operations this summer, also in cooperation with AF?

Is Burkina a francophone country? If so, I think it makes sense.

Quoting AF022 (Thread starter):

Are the airports open? I remember a thread a few months ago with the AF staff stuck.

Maybe it's part of a wider ranging deal with Groupe Celestair (Aga Khan Fund) who are behind all three airlines, and AF got closer to them through the launch of Air Cote d'Ivoire.
