Did I See An AA 737 On Ice Pilots?

Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:18 pm

Did anyone catch a glimpse of an AA 737 on the TV show Ice Pilots? Didn't think AA served YZF. If it was a tech or divert, it was rare to catch it while they were filming.
The episode I'm referring to is where they test out snow skis on a DC3 (at CYZF) During take off on the test flight, the air to air/ground shot shows an AA 737 in front of some hangers. Anyone confirm or have any idea what it was doing there?
I did notice the calendars in the building were 2010. I'm also aware the was an AA 777 divert there spring of 2010 according to the A net database.

Could it be a charter flight?

I've heard about aircraft that sized being used to bring American hunters up to the North. The demand is there and the cargo capacity is useful when bringing moose and bears back.

Have all the episodes on my pc so I took a screenshot:

Definitely bigger then a 737, it looks like a 777 to me, so...

From Transport Canada daily occurrence reports March 8, 2010:

AAL 153, an American Airlines B777, was en route Chicago to Narita when the crew reported a medical emergency and diverted into Yellowknife.

Looks like it is from the episode "Ski Plane", which is being aired Monday @ 12:30 PST on the Weather Channel if anyone is interested.

I flew with Buffalo Joe on a sight-seeing flight over YZF in February. I even got 30 minutes for my logbook (in a DC-3!!), since I sat in the co-pilots seat for the flight (except take-off and landing). That was really cool!
