WN 73G GRB-SAN?

Mon Jun 25, 2012 1:07 am

I didn't see this aircraft for myself, so it may just be a software glitch, but Flightaware says that that there was a Southwest 737-700 flying from GRB to SAN today.

Does anyone know the story behind this flight? The flight number definitely looks like a charter, but I can't think of any reason there would be charters from GRB to SAN right now.

If there was a WN 73G in GRB today, does anyone know which airline ground handled the flight?
Flown on: Air Wisconsin, America West, American, Compass, Delta, Endeavor Air, Envoy, ExpressJet, Mesa, Mesaba, Midwest Express, Northwest, Piedmont, Pinnacle, PSA, Skyway, SkyWest, United, US Airways

7*** flight number. Charter

Any military bases in the GRB area? May be your answer.

For WN, flight numbers 7000-7999 are military charters, general commercial charters are 8000-8499.

If the charter involved the Guard or Reserves then there doesn't have to be any involvement with bases in the GRB area.

I can find out when the staff comes in today. I have a meeting with the airport anyway and can ask what it was.

Yeah I know, however most charters do involve a base near by.

Per the staff at GRB:
It was DOD to the west coast for Marines, it was a San Diego destination.
