GF Premium-Airbus A320 Aircraft

Mon Jul 16, 2012 8:18 pm

Why would GF start a all business flight ?

Gulf Air since 01JUL12 has introduced Premium-Airbus A320 aircraft to its Bahrain – Copenhagen daily operation, 3 months earlier than planned. The airline previously planned to operate A320 aircraft on this route from 01OCT12.

Existing schedule:

GF027 BAH0140 – 0700CPH 320 x256
GF033 BAH1015 – 1535CPH 320 256

GF026 CPH1115 – 1815BAH 320 x256
GF032 CPH1635 – 2335BAH 320 256

I don't think this is an all J flight, just a premium heavy GF A320.

This flight was operated with a 73G (from PrivatAir), but they switched it to a A320 in July rather than Oct. The GF A320 has more economy seats and the same amount of First (Falcon Gold) seats, but with less pitch so it is actually kind of a downgrade for the premium passengers. But I have no clue about seat width or comfort.

I'm not sure why it is referred to as a "Premium Airbus A320", all of GF's A320s are configured the same.

No, they're not, hence why the premium A320's only have one overwing exit instead of two. The normal A320's are 16J120Y while the premiums are 14J96Y.

My mistake then, this must be a more recent thing, their website gives no clear indication of another configuration. But this is of course GF that we are talking about.

I believe this is the new product on the premium A320.

I thought this was interesting too when I first read it. But it is clearly not an all-J aircraft, as my boyfriend took this flight two days ago, and he was in economy.
A side note: He was not really satisfied with the flight.

Given that this is GF we're talking about here, that's hardly surprising. That's a shame though!!

So this is A9C-AN/O/P/Q we are talking about which are in the 14J97Y cabin?
