Azores Glider Issues In Calgary?

Today, I was at YYC (Calgary International Airport) spotting, when I noticed that C-GITS, The Azores Glider, was sitting at one of the gates in concourse D, with all doors open, except for the L2 door, which had a connected jetbridge.

I noticed it when I arrived at 13:05 and it was still there when I left at 19:30, with no signs of any movement other than 2 catering trucks parked to the aft of the fuselage.

Any idea what might be happening?

It likely was operating the 7pm YYC-MAN route. I presume it was just waiting for that and the doors were open for ventilation.

There was also a midnight flight to FRA that it might have been operating as well, especially if there was still very little activity going on at 1930. It was quite a warm day here in YYC yesterday so yes the doors were likely open to try and cool the cabin down.

I remember seeinng her in LGS being repaired. That was .. 11 years ago!

It operated the TSC214 to MAN and is currently over the Atlantic as the TSC209 to YYZ.

No prob with ITS.

As was stated the a/c had its doors open for ventilation before the APU could be started as it was on the ground. The AC did operate to MAN as scheduled.
