I would think QR and EY should deploy their 787's on a LAX/SFO route. I'm suprised they both haven't tried launching that route. DOH-LAX should be no problem with 787's. Maybe their waiting for Boeing to reduce those final overweight birds and for on-spec performance?

I would welcome DOH-LAX, because the 787 is the world most comfortable airliner, and it would be nice to have more 787 service to LAX.

I'm curious what new routes the 787 could open up, not just replacing old planes on existing ones

NRT-BOS/SAN/DEN are a great start

Perhaps AirCanada would finally launch YUL-NRT or even YVR-SIN

Quoting United787 (Thread starter):
AM: MEX-SCL; MEX-EZE; MEX-CDG; MEX-NRT

Now that AM and Boeing have announced that AM will also order 10 789s (in addition to previously ordered 8 788s), the whole long-haul routemap of AM will become 787-operated. This means: MEX-SCL/EZE/GRU/MAD/CDG/NRT/PVG. I am sure there will be shorter sectors operated with 787s every now and then, such as MEX-MTY/JFK.
Upcoming S4 0221 LIS-PDL A310-300!!!
