BOS-EWR On A 767-400 AUG 6th

Is this flight some kind of diversion or something? Monday August 6th B767-400 BOS to EWR flt 1859 then continues on to IAH flt 1591? I did not see it for TUE or WED.

Probably a charter involving the Hall of Fame football game that was played tonight. Saints beat the Cardinals.

Looks like due to all weather, the charter aircraft was late to CAK. Probably due to the arrival time and weather, they switched from PVD to BOS. Probably is empty to EWR but I'm sure they could have filled it with passengers from yesterday's flights. EWR had a horrible day with security breaches and weather.

A B-767-400ER is the last strech of the B-767-300ER. It is about 21' longer than the -300ER. Only two operators of the type, UA (PMCO) and DL. There was also one that was suppose to become the USAF E-10A, but that program was canceled and the airplane ended up being converted into a VIP airplane sold to someone in the ME.

The Saints,Giants,Texans,Browns,and Buccaneers were the NFL teams I can think off the top of my head that we had before the merger with United.

If someone in Chicago can please get in touch with Robert Kraft and seal the deal with my Patriots........

Add in Nobama flying into JFK around rush hour either and NYC had one hell of a day.

A bit off topic, but why didn't DL use their 764s on longer routes when they first got them? My first flights on a 764 were in 2000 flying through SLC on the closing day of the winter olympics. Routed SLC-SFO-HNL-LAX then a few months later LAX-HNL-SLC. Is this like the 757 where airlines didn't realize the potential of the 757 for several years?

Not really. Delta wasn't as big to Europe as they are now. They also had M11s and T7s flying to Europe at the time.
