UA International Wingletted 752 In El Paso

Sat Sep 01, 2012 11:51 pm

There is a wingletted UA 752 at gate A-1 (an AA gate) in ELP.

ELP gets UAX E145s from DEN and IAH and CR-7s from ORD. So an international 752 is a bit unusual.

Anyone know why it's here?

All I can tell you is this is a 757-300. Not a 200.

It's a charter for the Oklahoma football team who is playing UTEP today.

Makes sense -- played in the Sun Bowl and all.

And it's a beautiful day for a game.

Thanks Dylan.

How can you tell the difference between the 752 and the 753?

Look for the four main doors and two overwing window exits on each side of the aircraft.
I'm not anti-social. I'm just not user friendly.

The 757-300 is longer and it had 6 Main doors and 2 Secondary doors and 4 Over wing exits. The 200 is shorter has 6 Main doors and 4 Over wing exits.

You're right on the money.

Or, in simpler terms, two big doors behind the wing instead of one.
