EWR Ops 9/15

Sun Sep 16, 2012 1:54 am

Flew into Newark this morning and back to BOS this evening and had a couple questions about some of my observations:

1). When we landed and pulled up to gate A18 this morning at 7:30am I noticed there was an El Al 772 parked on the apron. This evening when I departed at 7:30pm, it was still there. Did the plane go tech or does it have a long dormant period?

2). There were 3 SAS A333's on the field at the same time. Do they each go to CPH, ARN and OSL, or is it 2x CPH and 1x to one of the other destinations?

3). Also parked remotely behind gate A23 tonight was a CO ERJ145. It was still with CO titles. I thought all aircraft had been updated with UA titles. How many CO planes are left?

Thanks for the help...

El Al doesn't fly on Saturdays (Jewish sabbath).

Can't answer the other questions, though.

The time change has to have something to do with it, because LY 26 EWR-TLV is Scheduled for a 10:25pm departure Saturday September 15th. (Tonight)

There are 8 ERJs with CO Express titles, as well as 1 B737-900ER with CO titles. (It's the 75th anniversary plane N75436)

Actually, the Sabbath is from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday, so El Al flights can take off on Saturday night.
