VT-AND was delivered 18SEP (morning), not 17SEP.

The plane was in FRA this morning and is on its way to its new home, currently over the Ukraine:

This list I found easily via Wiki search... I did not check it vs. anything else for accuracy but it's a starting point to answer your question (and it took about 25 seconds to find via Google...) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Boeing_787_orders

AI is slated to pick-up its 3rd (1st N. Charleston built) 787 next week per a Boeing official.

http://www.postandcourier.com/articl...delivered-next-week-executive-says

September 787 deliveries are shaping up to be a banner month. This will look good for the next earnings call. I hope Boeing can sustain the momentum.

Been reading that the supply chain is already producing at 5/month and that this will work its way into the FAL's by year end. Apparently, new build deliveries will lag behind this rate due to post FAL testing and prep time averaging longer than expected.

The AWSNBN so far only secured bridge financing. If they don't find a lessor for their sell and lease back plan, the whole deal will fall apart. Unless the Indian tax payer comes to the rescue, that is.

The guestimate was she would be delivered yesterday, but that was before the GEnx issue so it's possible the plane is still undergoing engine inspection or UA have decided to delay delivery.

Very unlikely since the frame (LN53) just flew yesterday. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE288 If it was the bird with the problem I would expect that the frame would be grounded for an engine change.

My guess on bird with the problem is LN43 for China Southern. It is one that has GE engines attached and has languished in "pre-flight prep" for quite some time now and dropped off delivery forecasts.

Busy day as three '87s flew: ZA135 for ANA, ZA461 to QR and ZA264 for Ethiopian. Probably had to do one more Boeing test flight due to a sqwak that prevented it from flying to Ft. Worth yesterday. I won't be surprised if it flew down there tomorrow or Friday.

Apparently so. Matt says it was an EWR flight.

Looks like it flew a long enough mission that it could have made it to Ft. Worth.

I guess a few more 788s will get delivered before October? No european airline so far but LOT should be the first?

Because that's what happens, both with mature programs and the 787. They lay out a schedule at the start of the delivery preparation, but it evolves depending on what they find out during testing and customer walks based on what they have to fix. This schedule is on its 7th revision now.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Ignore the exact date. It's taken from a snapshot of an evolving schedule. Only the month matters.

Quoting aeroblogger (Reply 21):

There's no evidence of that in the schedule.

You don't find it notable that the QR, UA, and AI deliveries keep sliding to the right? What do they all have in common? - GE engines. And we all know about the GEnx problems..

No. We all know about AI; QR is possibly the most demanding and unpredictable airline customer on earth; and UA is only two days behind last week's schedule, not enough to worry about.

I should have been a bit clearer. I can access the Everett Delivery Center schedules and there was no evidence in that of a delay caused by the GE engines.

There also is alot of aircraft with RR engined where deliveries keep sliding right....so your argument is poor

They're refurbishing the cabin so I could see that taking some time as if they have to replace a seat in Row 6, I expect they need to remove Rows 1-5 on that side first.

I'm sure he was, which is why I find it a bit rich to now complain about damage. As I noted in the previous thread, if he wanted a pristine plane on delivery, he should not have sent it to an air show and allowed folks to run around inside.

But seriously ... the 787 will fly to Charleston once the refurbishment is completed. There it will get connectivity (WiFi etc) installed within 30 days. We should see the delivery flight by the end of November.

Yes, and Boeing was against it. But the customer has the final word and now it's his fault.

Interesting is the absence of U-Turn Al's typical ranting in the press about delays. Is his silence an admission that QR is the reason for the slow turn-around since FARN?

Getting word that issues with IFE and internet connectivity on QR 1st 787 is the reason for the delay. The Qatar delivery team is in Seattle right now so there's hope that it could be delivered this month. Please see my latest blog post.

My guess is that ANA will get 2, JAL 1, UA 1, ET 1 and AI 1. 9 total for September is a huge improvement compared to recent months.

Looking at U-turn Al in that picture and then on to Poirot, the line would be: Someone has committed a crime in this very cabin.

Sorry for the OT.

Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 35):
Yes, and Boeing was against it.

True, and I remember quite a few of us questioning the objections voiced in this very forum by tdscanuck about them doing it (myself included). Belated apologies, Tom.

Got a message saying that ZA288 delivered and is now flying to Houston. Supposedly flying at UA 3904 from BFI to IAH but it's not showing up on Flightaware. I'm listing as delivered.

ZA288 is still in Seattle and should depart later today or tomorrow morning. Apparently it's getting some sort of custom software load. IT HAS NOT DELIVERED YET!
