The airline NORWEGIAN has now receaved it's license to carry passengers to the United States.
It became clear on Wednesday, when the airline signed a deal with U.S. aviation authorities Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
It was in May this year that Norwegian applied for traffic rights to the United States. The signing of the agreement took place during a meeting with the FAA at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Wednesday this week.
This certification means that the airline is allowed to fly to and from airports in the whole of United States. First up is New York.
The sale of tickets starts this autumn and the operation wiul start in beginning of summer 2013.
Norwegian is currently working on licence to Bangkok, Thailand. Other destinations is also under consideration. Both in the USA but also in the rest of the world. Norwegian is considering many options, that also includes destinations in South America, and Africa in adittion to Asia and USA. The airline is not ruling out anything.
