It's a live segment, but operating as a positioning flight to take the Bills back to Buffalo after their game with Arizona. United does this quite frequently with their NFL charters and is an easy way to generate a little extra revenue on a segment that is basically already paid for by the charterer.

Delta does it as well, last year we had a couple of 763s run here on ATL-IAH or vice versa.

The plane will most likely charter in Friday, then work an outbound flight out of PHX or ferry to IAH, ORD, or where ever demands a 767-400

They play in SFO against the 49ers the week before. Maybe they will stay on the west coast for the week.

BTW the 49ers stayed in YNG between back-to-back road games at MSP and EWR.

They are. They'll fly to PHX after the game against the 49ers and practice at Arizona State.
