Vintage Airliner Down In Australia

This vintage aircraft sadly crashed with the loss of 6 lives.

How very sad. May all the souls lost rest in peace. Such a beautiful machine lost as well.
Finally made it to an airline mecca!

Beautiful plane. It looks like he should have turned back when the weather started closing in, then got lost and ran out of fuel. Very rugged country where it came down.

RIP to the victims.

According to the caption of the airliners.net photo she had already crashed in 1954 and was rebuilt !

Wasn't there an incident with a similar plane not long ago, an engine on fire ?
