CLT-PHL....US A330?

Sun Oct 07, 2012 7:17 pm

Next month for the thanksgiving holidays my uncle is flying PHL-CLT-XNA....and on the return leg, his CLT-PHL flight is listed as a "332". Is it really an A330-200? Wow... (it is AWE flight 1522)

I found this about the same flight number that was posted two years ago: US Airways A330-200 On CLT-PHL Starting In May (by RyeFly Feb 24 2010 in Civil Aviation), but according to flightaware, flight 1522 is now an A319: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/A...2/history/20121006/2005Z/KCLT/KPHL
Now more than ever, moving forward with the new American.

Sure. CLT and PHL are the two bases for intercontinental A330 flying. US needs to rotate A330s between the two.

It's not unusal. UA, DL, AA and US each reposition long-haul aircraft on select regularly scheduled flights between hubs.
You're not the CEO; you were a menial aircraft support mechanic intern, and that was four years ago.

It's also common to see a 762 on this route once per day. It sees everything from RJ's to A330's.
Every flight counts.

I have done the 762 between CLT and PHL several times. Booked on it again in Nov, with the return on the A330. I also enjoyed the A332 on PHL-SJU today in Envoy (sold as US F).
I want to live in an old and converted 727...
