I've seen that lately it doesn't detect some flights and some areas. I was in Bogota this past week, and it was clear skies of aircraft 100% of the time!

I also find that it is not accurate, especially on USAirways transatlantic flights. It has them going from domestic to domestic airports when it is out over the Atlantic.

Not sure that I can be more positive than PA515, TonyBurr and flyingalex, apart from saying that the app relies on inputs from enthusiasts, it does not piggy-back on ATC radar. Thus the lack of "visible" aircraft for the original poster when in Bogota, reflects a lack of input rather than the lack of aircraft in the skies there.

Previous posters are correct about the thru flights. It sometimes shows the wrong city pairs on those. However, you have to remember the ADS-B signal doesn't have the flight number or city encoded in it, so I imagine FR24 does a relational lookup to a table somewhere of all the World's flights. If there are discrepancies or changes there, they're passed into the FR24 GUI. Garbage in/garbage out.
