Largest Aircraft Breakers In Britian Video Clip

What started out as a one man band 15yrs ago is now the largest breaker of aircraft we have in this county.
Not a patch on the USA I know but hey we are just a little island.
And so much money to be made from spares.
you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!

Very interesting. It's cool to see how one little period of boredom and adventuroursness can turn into a multi-million dollar business! Kudos to that man.

Now folks know why relatively new airliners get broken down for spares. Money talks, sentiment doesn't. Hurts I know for us airliner fans to see our beloved aircraft getting unceremonously taken apart, but it's business.

I think it is great this guy found his calling. Now why do so many British airplanes get flown the the US to be broken up? Why does LH fly all the way to TUP to break up a B-744 when all they have to do is take it across the North Sea to the UK?

I would guess there are capacity constraints at Kemble, also the breakers at TUP etc offered more $$ for certain airframes.
