LAX Tom Bradley Update?

Mon Nov 19, 2012 8:57 pm

Any updates on the west site north gates, 130 132 and 134, being open by December and what airlines will be using them? Last post about this in the archives says they hoped to open the gates above by December.

Just wondering if anyone has an update?

Gate 134 continues to be the only operational one at the moment.

Adjacent gates 132 & 130 are still pending gate fit checks, systems testing, and airline training which begin this month and continue through the end of this year.

One of the goals with use of these gates is understanding how best to conduct passenger operations especially with Group VI aircraft and assist in identifying any lingering terminal or gate issues.

On the LAX construction cam, it appears that gate 132 and attending ramp space have been cleared. Probably fit and attached utility checks still need to be accomplished. Haven't yet seen any aircraft parked at that gate.......

Cheers,
Bob

Picked up someone who flew in on Air France last week and they said the arrivals area has been expanded finally. Something close to 14 baggage carousels and many more immigration points. They were through in 30 mins!
What is it? It's A 747-400, but that's not important right now.

Interesting, but that was the result of the improvements made to the old core building.

There will be more baggage carousels added once the new building is joined to the old building.
