Saudia New Livery

Sun Dec 02, 2012 3:12 am

A while back it was reported that Saudi Arabian Airlines (SV) was reverting back to it's original name of Saudia after it joined Skyteam, unveiling two aircraft (a Boeing 777-200ER & an Airbus A320-200) in a Skyteam livery:

Since May (when the announcement was made), I haven't heard or seen anything about Saudia's new livery. Are they actually going to have one (instead of simply changing the titling to Saudia)? Or are they simply too preoccupied with other issues to think of a new livery now? Any information would be quite welcome, thanks.

It's pretty much the same livery. There are small tweaks here and there, but by and large it's still the same.
Which is good IMO, because I like the livery.

The current Saudi colour scheme is quite stunning. I hope they don't change it.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

For as much as I do like the current livery, I would love to see the old green livery again done up with modern touches. Something with shades of green and Arabic calligraphy would be beautiful.
