Qatar Airways January 1 Flight To LHR

Wed Dec 19, 2012 9:11 pm

Good evening people.

It seems that Qatar Airways 625 AM flight to LHR has been upgraded to a 77W instead of the usual 787. Anybody know the reason or if QR plans other 787 flights on that day.

Thanks

Isn't it a case several of Qatar's 787's have been grounded???

Maybe the aircraft scheduled to operate this flight was one of them and replaced with the 77W, being the only aircraft available...?

Might not be the case, but I would imagine there is a lot of people travelling on the New Years Day, as people need to get home and ready to return to work for the 2nd January... Maybe the 6.25am flight has got a higher demand than normal, with a lot of connecting passengers.

Almost a full load on the B787 today. Maybe the 'downgrade' from the B772 wasn't a good idea?

I was on it, the QR75 (A7-BCB) arriving at LHR around 11 AM on the 19th. Indeed few open seats, perhaps 90% occupancy. Were you involve with this flight on one way or another?
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

No QR 787s are grounded at this time. A7-BCA is in service.
