OKC Down To One RWY

Fri Dec 21, 2012 7:12 pm

Looks like a small Citation crashed in the grass on RWY 17L so all arrivals and departures have to use 13/31.

It is good that both pilots got out of it ok.

When I flew in last week it looked as if it was closed. I think they are working on it.

Yeah, 17R/35L has been closed for over a month now. It appears they are resurfacing it.

It will be interesting if we get a snow storm on Christmas Day.

The aircraft is sitting out in front of the Customs hangar at the north end of 35L on SW 59th. Right wing has a nice curve to it now. Left wing didn't look too bad. All in all didn't look horrible.

This thread might have another meaning Tuesday depending on the amount of snow we get. GFS has 3-6" and NAM has well...10-20". LOL

Interesting. I was out doing some spotting today. Needless to say, I'm usually happiest when the great majority of the traffic arrives on 35R as was the case today.
Good night, and keep watching the skis. Uh, skies.
