Flight Schedules For ABX Air?

Wed Jan 02, 2013 12:31 am

Happy new year to all, have been an aviation fan long enough to know that cargo schedules are both hard to find and not many are published, but I was wondering for those in the know how accurate these flight numbers/routes still are, its an ABX Air timetable. Its 3 years old and in that time what flights have they added, am just after scheduled flight numbers/routes not times or the like. Thanks in advance.

ABX's hub in CVG is interesting...most of their flights outbound are in the morning or late evening. If you can't find anything palpable, check flightaware.

Out of CVG DHL makes the schedules, they change regularly.

194/594 is now on a CCI 752. Its been a while (almost a year) since I worked for a DHL contract carrier, so I'm not sure how accurate the others are.

I noticed it seems like all these flights go to a coastal or border city. GSO and PHX are the only interior cities I see in there besides CVG

ABX has a problem with "name recognition"......Burlington and Airborne, individually, at least stuck in peoples' heads.
.......whereas many say "what's ABX??".....

For one thing, that schedule is incomplete because it lists only flights operated for DHL but ABX does have more scheduled flights. I believe ABX still has a plane based in MIA operating on behalf of a local forwarder, and they have one in LGG flying European legs for TNT.

For another, not only does DHL change their schedule quite a bit but also, when that timetable was published, was using Astar Air Cargo along with ABX. Astar is since gone and ABX has picked up some of its flights, with the remainder going to Capital and Atlas Air.

All in all, I would guess half of that timetable has changed.

Comparing from memory, for example, ABX is now doing BOS and MCO, IAH and DFW are terminators with HRL and ELP serviced non-stop, the later with Capital which also took over SLC-DEN-CVG, MIA is up to twice daily and Atlas does SFO, ORD and YHM. This is but a short list, I am sure there are many more changes.

You could see full flight schedule of ABX Air on ch-aviation (if you have a pro membership): http://www.ch-aviation.ch/portal/sch...ase=1&date=2013-01-02&weeksearch=1

They serve 24 destination in 8 countries. Some flights were operated for Caribbean Airlines, Laparkan Airlines and Aeromexpress Cargo.

One of their 767s was parked at Milan Linate last Thursday, probably operating for DHL/TNT.

People, as in the general public? They don't sell to the general public. Unless you need an entire aircraft to move freight from A to B, ABX isn't going to take your call, and the people who have that need, ie freight forwarders, integrators and other airlines, do know who ABX is.

It is flying LGG-LIN-LGG for TNT, but TNT frequently puts it on other destinations as well.

As luck would have it,I recived an email from flightaware notifying that a 762 was going to come to ROC. ABX was flying Capital Cargo's usual CVG-ROC-BDL route .

Not sure if it is going to stay,as I would miss our only 727. We haven't seen a 76 in ROC in 4 1/2 years.

All of Capital's 727s were retired last week. CVG-ROC-BDL is now operated by a 757.

Wow,I did not kow Cappy 727's were retired. Sad,this was the only 727 we got, here .

But , according to flightaware, the flight is an Abex 762,not a Cappy 757 (which would be nice,as we do not get 757's,either)
