HAHA! Your town isn't bad (I visit it several times a year), but... I've lived in Denver, I've lived north of London for two years, lived in Grand Forks for 11 winters, Spokane (regrettably) for 4.5 years (they think they are real city too) etc... so "city" to me, and many others means... tall buildings, large infrastructure, vast amounts and types of people and culture!
I love the "least visited state in the nation" for ND's quotes...prior to the oil boom, and loved Grand Forks (aka Grand Cities) that also had no tall buildings lol...some of the greatest and kindest people I have ever met, and still go back regularly!

Hah! Hearing local news on airliners.net is quite surprising.
No actual hijack though, so thankfully not too serious.

That is too funny! This town is "interesting" and no it's NOT a real city even though it's called "Rapid City". Have lived here 2 years and this does NOT surprise me! LMAO!!!
No Rapid City bashing, now - after all, we are the second most populous city in the state.
Yeah, hearing "local" news on here was funny/entertaining! Oh, AND...what's our airport code? KRAP... haha!
I do admire your dedication to your home town.
It's a great tourist town though... Mt. Rushmore, the best part of the Badlands (yes where Starship Troopers was actually filmed), the Black Hills are nice to see and drive through too!
The one real thing about this town that I like: I can hit Denver, Casper, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Omaha, or Minneapolis in part of a day, and not have to waste too much time!
Grateful no actual hijack happened, as that would just be more problems for this town.
