I'd say they'll need 150 narrowbodies in a few years just to start the narrowbody fleet renewal.

Wonder where they are going to fit all these airplanes.....

I'm really surprised Boeing isn't in the running here with their 739ER and 748I

Wait a minute... isn't their fleet already (for the most part) comprised of new airplanes?
If I'm not mistaken, they've got A320s, 737NG's, A330's, 77W's, with more new airplanes already on the way!

TK has a very promising cargo business. I'm surprised that they are interested in the A380 at all. It would seem to me that the 77W and 77X would interest them the most. Along with 321NEOs for short-haul.

The 321NEO would be very interesting. TK could reach northern India with it. That could make for some more frequencies to BOM and DEL. Instead of a 333/343 per day, maybe two 321NEO runs per day. And maybe allow TK to open up services to AMD, PNQ, JAI, IDR and maybe GOI.

It's not like the 333/343's used today offer any great comfort. Going to 321NEOs would not make that much of a material difference to most pax.

But new daily services to those kinds of destinations above would be a game changer for Europe-India and North America-India via IST.

Not much of a surprise.

This is the anticipated follow on narrow body order. Requirement is for 100 frames plus options.

Any new India service is reliant on a new bilateral.

TK has long asked for rights to 3 additional India service points, and to go double daily at DEL and BOM, but so far no movement on the Indian side.

As such with limited frequency allocation, using large capacity aircraft is the preference.

TK spilt their widebody order, so I wonder if they will do the same for their narrowbody?

Could this be the "significant order" that John Leahy spoke about late last year?

Wonder if the proposed deal includes anything between the A32X Neo and the A380.

It is noteworthy that this comes from a French minister, not a Turkish minister; the French minister is obviously anxious to talk up the Airbus side, but I wonder if the Turkish govt will want TK to include some Boeing acft to keep the Americans happy?

But didn´t said TK recently, that they don´t want the A380 or the 747-8 in the next time? I remember that they ordered more 77W´s and A330´s because they are not interested in much bigger aircrafts.
I haven´t been everywhere, but it´s on my list.

Yes indeed, the 90%LF (2 class/170pax) ESAD range is expected to be right at 3000nm. That should do it for the normal BOM/DEL-IST routings w/ annual winds.
