The lounge is also a first world wide for *A as it features a new concept for * A lounges: it showcases the theme of the country or city hosting the lounge
Quoting RyanairGuru (Reply 2):
Does anyone know what the "theme" of the LAX lounge will be?
Quoting dcajet (Reply 3):
Now, if *A could focus on spicing up that most boring, windowless, and bland of lounges - LHR Terminal 1. Maybe they did not have much to work with but, come on, is that the best *A can do at the world's most international airport?

given that NZ is in charge of design at LAX, I doubt LAX will be very "American" in theme. I'd expect similar themes to other NZ lounges..

It should be noted that LAN just opened a brand new Salón VIP at Ezeiza for LATAM´s customers; as well as oneworld frequent flyers!
Quoting A388 (Reply 11):
Why did the Star Alliance open a lounge in EZE? Isn't their presence there minimal (LATAM being Oneworld and AR being SkyTeam)?
Quoting PDPsol (Reply 12):
Big Star Alliance presence at EZE:
LH to FRA
CM to PTY
AV/TA to BOG and LIM
UA to IAH and EWR
TK to IST
So, plenty of Star Alliance operated flights for the lounge!
Quoting A388 (Reply 13):
Okay, but how big is that really? If most of these airlines only have a single flight each day, than it still isn't big. I would have thaught that the Star Alliance would open a big lounge in BOG new terminal first, seeing that AV/TA are the biggest there and CM also having a bigger presence there. It would have made more sense to open the first one there in my opinion. I know they are building one there now in the new terminal as well as a OneWorld lounge.
Quoting SCL767 (Reply 10):
When eligible passengers check-in with either LAN or TAM, the agents at EZE give them a personal invitation to utilize the new Salón VIP which is located in Terminal B, in front of Gates 9 & 10. Also oneworld frequent flyers traveling on AA, BA, IB, and LAN now have access to three clubs at EZE.

Thanks for the additional information DCAJet and Airbazar. In any case, good luck to the Star Alliance on their Latin presence. Now and in the coming years they will have the best product to offer in Latin America, together with LAN who of course is OneWorld.
Quoting PDPsol (Reply 17):
Convincing AV and CM to join Star Alliance was a very big win for the group and they are pressing AV hard to develop O6 into a viable competitor in Brasil.
