Anyway, I know (prob. from you Al
) that TW does this type of risk-shairing on a number of its Carribean services. I think all the EWR flights (to CUN, BQN, and PUJ) and the PLS, POP, CUN service are sold through large agencies.
What does this mean for the airine? By shifting risk to the travel agencies they probably make much less than on a regularly scheduled service because the agencies undoubtedly get the seats for very little. Also, did the agencies have any influence in picking these destinations and their origin airports, like EWR. I can't imagine TW would add flights from EWR on their own. Gracias.
