EGF (OO) CRJ-200 @ DFW

Wed Feb 13, 2013 3:16 am

Hi All,

On my way to work every day at about 1045, I see an American Eagle (Skywest) CRJ-200 parked at the high terminal B Gates. Tried looking on Skywest's Route Map and on FlightAware to see where it is going but could not find anything. I was under the impression that OO would only operate from LAX? I am positive that it is a CRJ-200 and not a CRJ-700 and it has a N***SW tail number. Any insight would be great!

Thanks!

I'ts not an OO aircraft, it's an EV (ExpressJet) CR2, who begin flying for AA at DFW on the 14th. It's been there for ops familiarization for the CR2. Ground crew from all over the network get to play with it for training.

OO and EV (and OH) had been leasing aircraft between each other for one economic reason or another since the early 2000's, but now that SKYW, Inc. owns the leases, they can shuffle them further however they want.

We'll be seeing one of the CRJs on the OKC-DFW run here soon (in addition to existing mainline flights). Didn't remember who was going to operate them, but now I know. LOL

Does someone have a list of Expressjet CRJ-200s that have been transferred from Delta Connection to American Eagle operations already? I have so far only been able to confirm N876AS.

Don't have tail numbers, but it's been a little strange seeing a bunch of Eagle CRJ-200s in Atlanta sitting at the ExpressJet hangar for the past couple of weeks - started as 1 and grew to 4-5 at the end of last week. All of them in the old livery.

Nice to see something different out at Founders Plaza. Does anyone know what tail numbers have been assigned to this operation? I saw N901EV along with 905 and 906 today.
I didn't get a 'Harumph' outta that guy!

I agree; seeing a CR2 in MQ's colors is strange - even though its larger sister has been wearing the same livery for years. Just as strange was the picture of an EMB-120 in Eagle's colors (I believe it was an Air Midwest plane - and only one), whereas its larger sibling has been in that livery quite comfortably.
