JetBlue At CHS

Wed Feb 27, 2013 4:21 pm

Hello all!!!

As many of us know B6 is commencing service to CHS tomorrow and I still haven't heard anything as to which terminal/gate(s) they will be using. I assume Terminal B as A is pretty pull with DL & UA. Also, AA is in B and only uses their gate(s) 3-4 times a dayAnybody have any more info? And is anybody lucky enough to be going over to CHS to see the big arrival? I was going to be on the inaugural but Sandy screwed up my travel plabs and availibilty.

Thanks!!

Even the CHS map hasn't been updated yet:

I am not familiar with CHS, but there is only 1 gate showing not being occupied (A1), but they still have 2 different gates for CO and UA so I don't know if the combined UA is moving into one concourse or not....

According to CHS 's monthly flight schedule, they will be operating out of B-3.

I don't think there is room for UA to consolidate all of its operations at CHS. Their gates are usually pretty full, in fact, they usually double up on one gate in A when the IAD and ORD flights are there. (CR2 to IAD on the harddstand with the CR7 to ORD connected to the jetbridge).

Thanks, that's where I thought they would.

Never been to CHS so I don't know. But the map that I linked to shows CO in B3 only and UA in A5 only. So I am guessing once they merged operations, CO vacated B3 and moved to the A-side with UA. They need to update their map, things like that come in handy when I have to travel to these cities for work LOL!

That map sounds right. PMCO flights still operate out of B3, although I have seen a IAH flight leave from A once when it was running late.

Wow, first Southwest, and now JetBlue... When I first moved to CHS a few years ago, I never imagined either one of those two flying here.

When is the first B6 flight scheduled to arrive?

Though I technically have two "home airports" (MYR and FLO), I have personal pride in CHS as of their recent growth, as I live 80 miles north of it, and occasionally see airliners on final and especially C17s flying over my home. that said, Theres nothing like visiting Ft. Sumter and seeing a C17 and then WN fly over within a matter of 5 minutes! I also look forward to the new terminal expansion that is set to occur. Im looking for both WN and B6 to be adding more destinations in due time!
