ALC Orders 10 X 777-300ER

Fri Mar 01, 2013 12:31 am

Way to go 777. Approaching the 1,500 mark.

Los Angeles based Air Lease Corporation placed order for 10 777-300ERs.

This plane just keeps selling. That is 681 773ERs so far. Before too long, this single model will be responsible for ALL 777 sales (772A, 773A, 772ER, 777F, 772LR, 773ER).
learning never stops.

It'll certainly be responsible for about 80-90% of sales until the -8/9X is launched, though I expect the 77F to be very popular (except perhaps with CX!!) carriers seeking to replace MD11s and older 747Fs.

How many 777s has ALC now ordered? (And what is its Boeing code - is it still -Q8, like ILFC's used to be?)

ILFC still exists as a company. So ALC would have a different customer code.
