Norwegian The Future

Wed Apr 03, 2013 4:01 pm

Interesting interview with Bjorn Kjos.

Interesting point he raises 'Large aircraft orders in a market dominated by just two manufacturers serve the additional purpose of limiting the supply to competitors If you place an order now, you'll have to wait until 2020 before you can get a new aircraft f I find I've got too many, I'll just lease some of them to other airlines '

So that's part of the reasoning behind these big orders. Some legacy carriers are falling behind in the ordering stakes right now and could find themselves flying into a future with no available aircraft.
