LaGuardia Checked Bag Sticker

Wed Apr 03, 2013 6:49 pm

I've travelled to/from most US airports, but I have only seen LGA stick a small round sticker on your baggage tag that says "LGA". And I've always wondered why! Does anyone have any info on this?

I know my home airport (RGN) requires that all the baggage tags come off with a footer that says "Yangon International Airport".

The TSA puts on that sticker to indicate the bag had passed security screening. LGA is not the only airport to this. Some airports will use the sticker or even a stamp on the baggage tag.

I believe--but am not certain--that airports that do not have interline screening are the ones that do that.
