JMC Airlines Ltd. is the subsiduary of JMC Holidays Ltd., a member of the Thomas Cook Group, the travel subsiduary of the TUI Group, one of the 2 aviation members of Preussag, the largest holiday company on Earth, which also owns the Thomson Travel Group and it's airline Britannia Airways, the world's largest holiday airline.
JMC Holidays was formed when TUI dedcided to merge SunWorld, Inspirations and the Charleston Group, and in-house airlines Flying Colours Airlines, Peach Air and Caledonian Airways respectively. JMC stands for James Maurice Cook, the son of Thomas Cook, and his work in providing a reliable travel service is reflected in the airline's bright and fresh image.
The airline has a fleet of 28 aircraft, these being 10 Airbus A-320s, 2 DC-10s and 16 Boeing 757s, though next year this will have increased as the airline has orders for a Boeing 757-300 to join the shaut/medium haul fleet, and a number of 767s to traverse the Atlantic to the Carribean and other exotic places.
The airline livery is easily identified. The belly is a pretty shade of sky blue, and the engines and tail are an attractive shade of yellow-green with the JMC logo on it in white.
If you want to visit JMC's websitle, folllow this link:
