What Happened To United Express' Dash 8s?

Wed Oct 25, 2000 12:42 pm

I saw a photograph of a United Express Dash 8 at Denver Int'l (DEN). I believe it was a Dash 8-100 or -200. What happened to these marvolous aircraft?

Air Wisconsin had 10 Dash 8 - 300s based out of the O'Hare operation and were sold when UAL digested AWAC into a few different slices in 1992.... the Dash 8's also spent some time at IAD, as shown above.

The Denver based Dash 8's were Dash 8 - 200s (hot and heavy) with PW123 engines I believe... Mesa was the operator and United kicked their butt outta the UA system faster than they did w/ Hulas Kanolia (Trans States / UFS).

You may see more Dash 8s flying the United colours in the upcoming year
