Who Is More Important To Airbus: EK or LH?

Both airlines has a strong relation with Airbus, Lufthansa since ever have a continuous orders to Airbus especially narrow body aircrafts which doesn't fit EK fleet.

Emirates is the largest A380 customer and number two for the A350.

In Airbus formula who is more important.

e.g if EK asked Airbus to change some specifications and LH asked something completely opposite for the same model, what will airbus do in this case.

Whoever's willing to place the order. Same thing with Boeing and the 747-8i. LH wanted the longer version and TC wanted the shorter stretch for DXB-LAX. LH put their money where there mouth was and it became the long one.

LH buys Airbus because the German government forces them to and EK takes Airbus because Airbus give them free planes.

LOL! Seriously, both customers are equally important. LH relies mostly on Airbus narrowbodies for its bread and butter European and medium haul network. EK of course is whats keeping the A380 (and thousands of jobs) from going down the drain.

LH has 226 planes out of 290 Airbus planes (77%) of which 76 planes are widebodies

EK has 71/186 total Airbus planes (38%) all of which are widebodies

Emirates does not force Airbus or Boeing to change their design. They work with them in order to get a more optimum design that suits their requirements. So favoring is not part of the game.

LOL, what did you smoke? The German government ha sno means to "force" a company to do anything. it wuld be simply against the law. The board of directors has to report to the supervisory board to approva and aircraft order. The supervisory board does that based on the business case the managing board presents.

Even Air France, based in a country where the government does interfere with business decisions, buys Boeing and actually has, with the B777 a long range jet in their fleet while LH decided to go for the 346 instead.

Neither. Airbus (and Boeing), want to sell a lot of airplanes so they create products that a lot of customers want, not just customer A or customer B. They will gladly tell LH or EK to go pound sand if they feel that a plane will sell more if everyone else likes it. See 747-8 and EK for an example.

Emirates any day!!! EK makes biggest aircraft order in human history and Airbus gained alot from them.

Both airlines stand for many others, with very different requirements. I assume Airbus would create two versions, one fitting the LH needs since they fit many other airlines needs too, and one for EK. EK needs more range, LH needs more floor space, so similar to A332/A333 each will get what he pays for.
