Does boeing make these planes when 737NG was developed?

Well, the development stage of an airliner is a long one. The NG was being developed beginning approximately in the mid 1990s. 737 classic deliverys went on until just recently, in 1999. They have to sell planes, dont they? Of course classics were manufactured during this time.
