update:
This is incorrect. It shows how fast false news can travel. Several news agencies copied the news.
turned out to be a misbehaving passenger

Below what happened:

An angry passenger caused a security scare at Tripoli International Airport in the early hours of this morning, after an argument with crew on a Benghazi-bound flight turned ugly.

Crew on the Buraq Air flight called in airport security to help when the passenger became violent on board the aircraft, according to the Ministry of Defence. The security response to the incident then sparked rumours in the local press and on social media networking

“It is not true that an armed group stormed the runway,” spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence, Abdurazaq Mohamed Al-Shebahi told the Libya Herald, “they just wanted to maintain security after the passenger had a fight with members of the plane’s crew.”

Little news at the moment.

The picture in the article is that of an MD-80, so not an RJ plane... It might be an unrelated illustration.

According the RJ website, flight RJ544 TIP-AMM is delayed. It was scheduled to depart TIP at 0415pm and arrive AMM at 0930pm. Operated by E95.
Next flight: AMS - TLV - AMS

Besides, the aircraft nose is white, with some writing (in red) near the door.

Does not look like Royal Jordanian.

That aircraft has slides deployed in the picture and I believe that image is for illustrative purposes only, the surroundings do not look like TIP, especially the terrain which is flat in Libya

The news on the hijack is incorrect. The story is incorrect and the picture is incorrect.

You are correct, however I've seen this one operate more than once for RJ:

This is indeed quite different and thankfully there wasn't any hijack.

Ok, if it's not a hijacking and it's not RJ, might I suggest a title change?

Let's just be thankful the story turned out to be false.
Hijacking and the potential outcome of such an event is nothing that region needs right now.
