The 25th A Curse?

Mon Oct 30, 2000 12:42 am

Hi.

Should we avoid airplanes on the 25th of December?

25th August 2000: Air France Concorde Crashes. 113 killed.

Two months later:

25th October 2000: A russian military plane crashes. 80 killed.

Two months later:

25th December 2000: ???????????????????????????????

Am I the only one who sees the patern?

That would be quite an unpleasant Christmas present!

I am not concerned about flying on the 25th of December, although it concerns me a little bit leading up to Christmas with the added terrorist threats around this time.

July 17, 1999: JFK Jr.
July 17, 2000: Alliance Airlines (Indian Airlines subsidiary)

Okay Sorry.

I meant to write JULY, but the point is still there as I wrote "two months later."
There is still a two month period between the two accidents.

Again sorry for writing the wrong month, but when you read through it, it is easy to make the mistake of overlooking such a typo.

Nevermind this entire topic and my last reply. I must be tired. Heading of to bed as we speak.

If you are so scared of it, don't fly. Alternatively, fly an A330 or A340. They have not had a single commercial fatality yet. The only major incidents involving these two were A330: crashed during simulated engine failure during flight test: Pilot error. A340: Burned empty on the ground at CDG (I have no clue why)

Ever wonder if a member from Airliners.net perished in one or more of the crashes since this sites inception.

The 777 has also gone without a fatal accident. Have there been any 767 accidents?

Lauda Air 767 in Thailand crashed due to mechanical reasons. Ethiopean 767 crashed because it was hijacked and ran out of fuel.

BTW, I'm flying December 25th. On TWA at that.
