Is this the tail of the BA A380 N°2 we see on the picture?
They look so good in BA livery!

No it was just delivered and should fly to LHR tomorrow. Perhaps you're confused with the 787?

Perhaps. I knew there were more 787s. I thought the A380s had also been delivering fast.

I seem to be totally unable to follow those flights on FR24…

edit: found it… I had forgotten a filter about my sister's flight coming home…  duck

A very practical fiter is simply "AIB", this shows you all the Airbus flights and the Raccoon will be one of them.

That would have left time for another test flight. No more for today?

Maybe they're out in the paint hall having a look at MSN003, it's been said to be in paint since last Wednesday (1 week now)

Or, maybe she's prepared for VMU at Istres tomorrow

AIB52WB took off at 5.05Z - is this a new record?

Not visible anymore, last data point is at 5.23Z some 200 km north-northeast from TLS, alt 25000 ft, 442 kt.

Quite strange...That's not a pocket where fr24 drops on coverage. I wonder what are they up to?

It has been off Flight Radar now for nearly 2 hours, as far as I can tell.

Could this have to do with some part of the test program, or is it very uncommon / not allowed to fly without the transponder on?

Might be a silly question, just wondering...

I'd imagine they would be able to stop transmitting only in a military zone, which is where they seems to have disappeared.

Maybe doing some tests they don't want tracked, extreme ends of the speed range springs to mind.

Are you sure? At least on the FR24 peplay AIB52WB never took off. I think the transponder was switched on for some minutes but they never left the airport.

If I look at FR24 playback, I see it flying for about 20 minutes and disappearing just to the east of Limoges at around 25K feet, heading almost due north.

She has certainly been up to something. I wonder if there is another base there where VMU tests could have been done.

Disappeared again. There seems to be a void in air traffic north of TLS, I'm guessing an FR24 receiver station has gone offline in that area.

As somebody mentioned on another forum:

That must be one of the reasons for the A330 to be painted in the new house colors.
