I have noticed that no announcements by FA's or pilots have NOT re-started saying "AND...thank you for flying the friendly skies" yet. I recall the days when FA's would STILL say it years after United changed their slogan. I even recall reading once that it took serious training to get them to stop because it was so ingrained in their heads to say it. It would just pop out once and a while.
Does anyone know if they will start saying it again upon saying goodbye?
I know it's probably too soon to align with the ads, but I could swear the crews and front line staff seem to suddenly be knocking themselves out to be VERY friendly and so much "anything you need just let me know" and "HELLO! How are you tonight?" And suddenly they are taking my jacket immeadiately etc. Not to be cynical, but has there been a training blitz?
I guess my question is; what is happening internally now that there is a BIG NEW MISSION to live up to?
