Guess This Airport

Fri Nov 03, 2000 3:55 am

It has a very modern, spacious terminal. It is capable of handling up to 15 million passengers a year. It has a few no-frills airlines based here. It is in Europe and is a major cargo hub. It is considered to be the third airport of a large city with one of the busiest airports in the world and the other airport handles more flights to the US than any other in Europe. Can anyone guess?

Stansted in London. Gatwick is considered to be Europe's gateway to America.

TO my knowledge, Luton operates mostly charter flights, and Monarch Airlines flies there. I once looked into that airport for a possible European trip my family might have taken (didn't happen).
