AIB50WB is in the air and AIB11CF is warming up.

MSN4 will stay on the ground for the next two weeks and will do electrical and lightning tests at the A380 site.

It's easy to lose track of this hardworking little fleet, full credit goes to the staff for keeping them flying

It was a short flight for Wibi this morning - a couple of circuits followed by flying about FL10 along the pyrennes - Natural icing?

I don't believe anyone has mentioned the fact that CF seems to have lost all those external sensors in the last couple of pictures posted....

Just a couple of orange plugged windows left, lets hope she'll start some of the Early Long Flights soon!

Please forgive my ignorance on this, but... what's the difference between these so called Early Long Flights and the kind of circuits MSN2 was doing the last couple of weeks out of XFW? Some of these flights were over 8h long...

MSN 1 looks to be doing some circuits at Tolouse, seems to have changed to AIB52NW for some reason.

Edit: Changed back to AIB52WB.

WB lands and heads back to the flight line - just as GiGi heads out to the runway.

GiGi completed an RTO and then headed back to the flightline.

Thanks for the photo, I think the things on the leading edge of the wing is artificial ice. It seems WB is continuing the ice tests, they might even have started the certification tests.

There is something on that winglet and horizontal stabilizer as well.

Correct Ferpe, these are artificial ice on the leading edges of the wings (Slats included), VTP and HTP.

G´day

Quoting Wingtip1005 (Reply 35):

Thanks, very nice pics. I wonder how much Airbus gets paid for regrooving the runway

With the downward forces applied by the "tailscraper" during the minimum unstick tests presumably there is quite some damage to the runway. Anyone out there that can elaborate on the subject? Thanks again

Cheers

I recall Airbus saying they would do another set of VMU trials. Perhaps these are related to the certification process.

This was already predicted by Old Aero Guy if I am not mistaken. But all tests continue to go flawlessly. So there is nothing to be worried about, if anyone ever was worried about the progress of the flight test- and certification campaign.
