Georgia Man Jumps Fence And Enters Plane At PNS.

Wed Mar 26, 2014 11:05 pm

A man jumped the fence at the Pensacola airport and entered a cargo jet.

Quote:
PENSACOLA -- A Georgia man is facing charges for climbing over the fence at the Pensacola International Airport and boarding and unoccupied cargo plane. Pensacola police officers say Mahiri Hanif climbed over a fence topped with barbed wire, ran up portable steps leading to the cargo plane and entering the plane around 1:30 pm. When officers arrived, they found him sitting in the pilot's seat and took him into custody. Hanif told officers he wanted to fly to Atlanta to see his mother and that he didn't have any money.

Article doesn't mention whether or not he was just using an Apple Maps app on his iPhone.

Well when you live in the Deep South, you kind of just assume every flight is going to ATL!

http://www.navytimes.com/article/201...-arrested-after-trying-steal-plane

A problem child serving in our U.S Navy. Apparently he was getting kicked out of the Military for violating his contract.

"At the time of his arrest, he was “on hold awaiting administrative separation from the Navy,” according to the base spokesman, Ed Barker."

Question is where was his escort? Being a student in Pensacola has some strict rules, but if he was "dishonorably discharged, he would either be in confinement or had an escort five times above his current rank. Sounds fishy. I'm surprised they just let him leave the base and "go steal a B757."
