I would like to know if AF is good. I would especially
want to know about the B763 and AF/Gill Airways F100
because i will propably fly on them next summer. I would also like to know about the service.

What do you mean by 'good' ? Any specific issue maybe: service, crew, prices, colour scheme...

Alle, Air France is very good! I flew on them on the route Stockholm-Paris CDG-Florence and return and they have a very good service. Read my trip reports about those flights (From Sweden to Italy with AF-From Italy to Sweden with AF). I remember that on the return flight from Florence to Paris, as we arrived at CDG passengers going to HEL were transferred directly from a plane to the other, as we were some minutes late. Please read the report, you will find all you asked about.

Flew them once long-haul and they had nearly no food or drinks on board. But this was due to strike of the caterers and the crew did the best to bring in pallets of Ginger Ale on board!   Comfort was not so good, that's because that was a bumpy flight and economy class. So, all issues not really related to the airline. just bad luck. Wish you a nice (better) flight!

I flew some times with AF. The service is getting better and better, but it still isn't so great. Food not bad but also not the best. Crew: from very friendly to rude. Overall Air France is just a normal airline.

Are the seats in Tempo OK? I'm meaning that are they comfortable to seat in, or does it feel that you sat on wood for 8 hours?
I'm going to fly HEL-CDG-CVG-CDG-HEL next summer,
and on my way back the flight is operated by Delta (B763), what do you know about them, in this case
i mean comfort in the 763, what is their service like nowadays? I have flow'n DL HEL (Operated by AY)-JFK-CVG-SFO-(Operated by AY)HEL in summer 1997 when AY and DL were partners.

I love Air France. Their f/a's are the nicest, and their food is THE BEST. The French know how to cook, even on airplanes! Last time I flew them was on a 10 hour flight from IAH-CDG in an A340. Dinner consisted of a fabulous beef and pasta dish, a little salad, and boiled shrimp with dijon mustard to dip them in. It was sooooo good. They also passed around these mini baguettes, and you had a few cheeses to choose from on your meal tray. My only complaint about Air France is that whenever I fly them, they show a crappy movie.

Gill F100 is just fine on HEL-CGD-HEL. Those Fokkers (G-BYDN/BYDO/BYDP) have leather seats and decent legroom. The crew wears AF uniforms, meals and everything is AF. The aircraft is just flown with Gill flight crew. And if you want to visit the cockpit, make sure to ask. Very likely you'll be able to visit.

I have flown AF 747-400 and 777-200s, the service is pretty average. Entertainment on 744 was really bad, music didn't work etc. Also the movie was in french, so I didn't understand too much. Promenade (the PTV system) on the 777 is nice. Food: lunch/dinner good, snack/breakfast terrible. Flight attendants can be either friendly or rude, I have experienced both. Seats in Tempo are nice and legroom good. Also Frequence Plus is a good FFP.

Have a nice flight.

Which AF aircraft have PTVs in Tempo? Does the 747 have them?

Air france has PTV on 777s, and half of the 340 fleet.
the new tempo with PTV and head rest will be fitted tomthe entire fleet by 2005, I think.
And all new aircraft that will enter air france (330-200 and 777-300lr) will also be fitted with it.
