Hey AF Cabin Crew!

There have been rumors (suposelly confirmed) That AF would start a 3rd daily route to Montreal Dorval (YUL) with a 767. That would have made one 747-400, one 747-200 and one 767. Did that plan changed to two 747-400?

Rgds,

Nicolas

It's really good to see that AF is doing well in North America. I was wondering what are their plans for this upcoming season. Do they plan new routes??? Increase of frequency??

I'd be thankful if anyone could anwser this questions

Best Regards

Air France is doing well, alot of people that come to Dubai from Montreal use
Air France, they're really popular in Canada, they should start a CDG-YVR service soon!

Bonjour !

Marco, Air France nor any french or canadian airline can start flying between France and Western Canada.
The treaty signed between the 2 countries include only eastern Canada. Our respective government must strike a new deal to include western Canada and AC and AF can start flying to Vancouver from Paris !

Happy Flying,

AF Cabin Crew.

Do the LAX flights include the flight(s) to Papeete? Or are those only the CDG flights? I know Air France flies from LAX to Tahiti, but I'm not certain of the frequency or the equipment (I believe it is a daily 747-400).

Can you enlighten?

Wow, 3 daily LAX and a 747 to CVG ! I'm amazed
Also no more 310 to PHL, cool. Quite some 777s for America.
Sounds like interesting news.
Thanks,

The timetable on the Air France website still says that the CDG-PHL route is operated by an A310.
CDG-PPT is operatded thrice weekly by a B744 via LAX.

According to Amadeus.net, AF will fly 3 times a day to YUL from CDG; one 742, one 744 and one 763.

AF070 is the CDG-LAX-PPT flight, it operates 3 times a week during the winter and 4 times a week during the summer always with the B747-400.
AF379 will change to the B767-300 on December 1st and will be as such for the summer 2001. These are the news from the PHL station people. They told us they were very happy to loose the A310. Eventhough the A310 has more high-yeld capacity with 40 Business Class seats, compare to the 25 the B767-300 has.

Happy Flying,

AF Cabin Crew.

A 747 to CDG?! Are you sure about this? I didn't know the CVG route needed that capacity.

Remember that DL has a hub at CVG, and that influences AFs decisions. remember, CVG is the airport from where DL wants to start flying to Beijing!

Bonjour, AF Cabin Crew! Nice to see you on here again. I'm curious about those CDG-LAX-PPT flights; any chance for a stopover at SFO for any CDG-PPT flights in the future? There's a lot of money up here just waiting to be spent somewhere exotic!

Just a question to AF Cabin Crew or anyone else who would know:

What's the possibility of AF opening up new US destinations, particularily here at SEA? As you might or might not know, we only have 2 European airlines here, BA and SAS. I would think a daily 777 SEA-CDG flight would be quite successful, and our proximity to Vancouver would get around that legal restriction you brought up.

Thanks

The 310 is going away.
Does that means that the 332 will soon be delivered ?
How about the 773, where is it going to operate ?
Merci d'avance pour les reponses.

It's interesting to see they are puting a 747 to CVG, instead of the 767.

Does AF plan to operate 4 flight's into JFK this summer, or the standard 3 ? If I was to remember correctly, the early am arrival into JFK was merely to alleviate the Concorde loads. Any news on the 2nd daily Delta operated JFK-CDG flight ?

DL was awarded seven additional weekly CDG - USA slots - from the DL online timetable, they appear to all be to ATL (twice daily from next summer - AF only once daily.)

FYI - for a time, SN operated a 747 into CVG from BRU - the combination of the CVG and CDG hubs created a substantial amount of traffic.

Sorry.

I meant to say the combination of DL's hub in CVG and AF's hub at CDG creates enough traffic for a 747 and 763 each day.

In '99 CVG was ranked 25th, the place that I got the stats was the DOT. I'll put a link there so you can look at the stats.

How come IAH is farther down the list (13th) than DFW (ranked 3rd)??? IAH apparently attracts more international airlines than DFW, but why is this so??? this confuses me...as i always thought that DFW should have more international flights than IAH...i'm interested to hear Blink182's comments about this....
Also, what about AF beginning service to DFW?? since Delta has a fairly large presence at DFW, i think Air France should serve DFW with at least a 763...anyone else agree?

Howdy-
Jderden777-LoL, I have heard on the forum and my neighbor-the head of the board of directors for DFW that AF has plans to be coming soon. I think DFW does have more international flights but most are operated by AA, unlinke IAH where you see more international airlines flying to one or two destinations except for CO, DFW is like that except that AA flies to just about every destination from DFW that another airline operates except for SEL on KAL(AA doesn't even serve) and BRU on SN(codeshare, AA serves BRU from ORD) on AF, I heard it would be an A340-300(why no 747?  ) AA is doing successfull on it's DFW-CDG runs so that may be a big indication for AF aswell as Delta having a hub there. I will tell you guys if anything happens around DFW,

It was announced in the local DFW Airport paper earlier this year that AF would start services to DFW around 4/1/01. AF has had their people at DFW to look over the airport supposedly in the same trip they visited DTW. I also talked with some BA employees in IAH last month and they said the new AF DFW station manager was in training. I haven't seen any schedules for the DFW AF flights yet so I'm wondering if they will just wait for the plane to arrive at DFW before they post a schedule and announce they have seats for sale. Perhaps the flights were postponed as I noticed the new LH flights to DEN/PHX were posted to the schedules in just over a day after being announced.

Javo-

Forgive the lack of accent marks and upside down question marks, but....
