You forgot the Convair 880/990 and the Comet as well as the Vickers VC-10, the airplane the IL-62 was copied from!
This british plane comes second for me behind the evergreen B707.

And then the Concorde is missing. The narrowest of all four engined airliners.

And then we put a question mark on the Trident 3. Some people called it a 3½ engined plane, but it did have four engines.

This is probably the most uneven group of airliner types which we can imagine.
In one end we have the oldest, noisiest, smokiest, fuel guzzlers (CV-880) which are long time gone. And still they rolled and rolled forever at take-off and sometimes stalled and crashed at rotation (Comet).
And in the other end we find probably the only airliner which was designed and produced ahead of its time. A plane right out of the future. The cleanest and quietest plane ever produced, and a runway super-saver.
I will vote for the future: Avro RJ.
(Even if I have a lot of respect for the past).

Best regards, Preben Norholm

The only one I have ever flown on is a BAe 146-300...so I guess that is my only choice. I wish I could have flown on a DC-8 or 707 though but it is too late...

Out of the ones you mentioned I would have to say the Boeing 707. However, my favourite narrowbody quadjet would have to be the VC-10. Unfortuneately these weren't very popular and I've never seen one in person, but they are gorgeous planes.
